Reconciliation Specialist

Ava Trade are currently seeking a Junior Bank Reconciliation Specialist with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in Financial Services.

Responsibilities

· Perform daily bank reconciliations, including bank statements, credit card transactions, and internal cash books to ensure balances match.

· Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and reconciliation breaks.

· Process and record transactions, customer payments, and receipts accurately in the accounting system.

· Prepare reconciliation reports for month-end closing and highlight outstanding items or unusual variances.

· Work closely with Finance teams, IT teams, and external banking partners to resolve issues efficiently.

· Maintain organized and audit-ready reconciliation records and documentation.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related field.

· 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or bank reconciliation roles.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP; experience with Netsuite or Oracle is an advantage.

· Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Fast learner with the ability to understand new financial processes and systems quickly.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage high volumes of data while meeting deadlines.

· Proactive approach with the ability to identify issues and suggest process improvements.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong organizational and analytical skills.

· Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
