An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant in the Finance Department within the Galway Clinic. Reporting to the Financial Controller the candidate will contribute to the effective and efficient running of a busy finance team, This is a Temporary 12 Month Contract, 37 hours pw. Duties And Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable reporting and other ad hoc related duties
- Accounts Receivable reporting and other ad hoc related duties
- Assist Financial Controller in weekly reporting, Monthly Accounts, annual Financial Statements and Audits
- Assist Financial Controller with statutory returns
- Maintain and develop financial controls
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications And Experience
- Accounting Technician or a business-related qualification preferred
- High level of initiative, motivation, commitment and professionalism
- Strong business acumen with ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and colleagues
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ideal candidate will have 3 years relevant experience
- Experience in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential

- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
Skills & Abilities
- Microsoft Package, word, outlook, Excel - Excellent systems knowledge especially MS Excel & ERP’s
- Experience of Xero is an advantage
