Financial Controller

Our client an established and growing organisation in the FMCG sector are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Financial Controller to lead its finance function and support the delivery of key business objectives.

Reporting to the CFO this role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cashflow and treasury management, statutory compliance, audit management, and driving process improvements across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support profitability, business growth initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational efficiencies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, KPIs and financial reporting.
• Managing budgets, forecasts and cashflow performance.
• Overseeing statutory reporting, tax compliance and annual audits.
• Supporting commercial decision-making and business improvement initiatives.
• Strengthening internal controls and improving financial processes and systems.
• Leading and developing the finance team.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
• Experience managing a finance function and partnering with senior management.
• Strong financial reporting, compliance and commercial finance skills.
• Experience in Retail/FMCG/Manu environments would be advantageous.
• Experience implementing finance or ERP systems is desirable.
