Utilities Engineer

Job Description A Utilities Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational biopharmaceutical client in Limerick for an initial 12-month contract and full time onsite. The Utilities Engineer will provide Process Engineering oversight of Direct Impact Systems and critical components used in biopharmaceutical production. The successful candidate will apply fundamental engineering principles to process understanding, problem solving, and continuous improvement, while coaching and mentoring members of the Biotech Utility Technical Support team (Utilities and HVAC). Role of this position

• Provide fundamental engineering support including process understanding, problem solving, project management, and engineering design.
• Support and review root-cause analysis associated with utility area events.
• Provide back-up support for Utility and HVAC engineers as required.
• Review the qualification basis of equipment and ensure systems are appropriate for their intended purpose.
• Ensure changes, maintenance, and other interventions do not adversely affect the qualification state of equipment.
• Participate in equipment reliability processes and initiatives for equipment and associated systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Level 8 Engineering Degree (required).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering, maintenance, or technical support environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of utility, HVAC, and process equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to process understanding, problem solving, and improvement.
