Maintenance Technician / Production Technician

📍 Manufacturing Environment | Rotating Shift-Based Role (Three Day Work Week, 12 hour shifts. One Month Day, next Month Night)

The Role

As a Maintenance / Production Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. You’ll play a key role in supporting production teams, minimizing downtime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line technical support to production operations
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve equipment and machinery issues
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machines
• Carry out machine changeovers between product families
• Complete First Article Inspections and prepare associated reports
• Attend Tier 1 Production Meetings and contribute technical input
• Write and maintain shift reports and technical documentation
• Interface with engineering, production, and product teams to resolve technical issues
• Provide feedback on product performance, improvements, and recurring issues
• Support evaluation of new products and processes
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across equipment and procedures
• Adhere strictly to safety, environmental, and company policies
• Participate in training sessions as required
• Support ad-hoc technical and production projects as needed

About You

You’re a hands-on, solutions-focused technician who enjoys troubleshooting and getting to the root cause of technical issues. You work well in a team environment and take pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a technician or manufacturing support role
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
• Proven ability to identify root causes and provide clear evidence-based solutions

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and technical documentation
• Basic mathematical skills
• Comfortable using a PC for data entry, reporting, and documentation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
