Junior Site Engineer Public Realm & Infrastructure (Kilkenny)
A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Site Engineerto join their growing team on projects inKilkenny and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 23 years site experienceto further develop their career while gaining hands-on experience on civil infrastructure and public realm projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day site operations on projects including footpaths, roadworks, bus corridors, cycle infrastructure and public realm works
- Support setting out and surveying activities
- Carry out site measurements, levels and quality checks
- Track daily site progress and maintain accurate site records
- Liaise with Site Managers, design teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders
- Assist with interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Contribute to quality assurance and health & safety compliance
- Assist with resolving technical issues and day-to-day site queries
- Support the coordination of works to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 2-3 years experience in a site engineering or civil engineering role
- Previous experience on civil engineering, construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience with setting out, surveying and reading construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiastic, practical and eager to continue developing on-site
