Role Description The Head of Financial Planning will lead the development and delivery of comprehensive financial planning strategies for a diverse client base, ensuring advice is aligned with client goals and regulatory standards. This full-time hybrid role is based in Cork, with a blend of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing client financial reviews, designing retirement and investment plans, coordinating protection and mortgage-related advice, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service across the practice. The role will manage and mentor planning team members, refine planning processes and tools, and collaborate with leadership on business development and strategic initiatives. The Head of Financial Planning will also stay current on market trends, legislation, and regulatory requirements, translating these developments into clear, actionable guidance for clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Financial Planning and Finance, including pensions, investments, protection, and mortgages.
- Proficiency in Business Planning and Budgeting, with the ability to support clients in structuring sustainable, long-term financial strategies.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess risk, and present clear recommendations.
- Relevant professional qualifications in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field (e.g., QFA, CFP, or equivalent), and familiarity with Irish regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or senior advisory role within financial services, with a track record of managing client relationships and mentoring teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and build trust with a wide range of clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, comfortable working in a hybrid environment and collaborating across the practice.
