Site Engineer

Site Engineer – Gorey, Co. Wexford

Our client, a well-established main contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a high-profile public works heritage restoration project in the heart of Gorey, Co. Wexford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a project at its early stages, offering long-term work with a respected contractor delivering complex refurbishment and conservation works.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for setting out and supporting the day-to-day delivery of the project, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment.
• Manage and check concrete frame works and structural elements.
• Ensure works are completed in line with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor quality control and maintain accurate site records.
• Coordinate subcontractors and assist with site logistics.
• Conduct site surveys and maintain as-built records.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and project team to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor.
• Proven experience setting out on concrete frame projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience using Total Station and GPS equipment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full clean driving licence.
