BIM Technician

I’m recruiting for a junior level BIM Technician to join a growing construction company in Kilkenny.

This position plays a key role in developing high-quality digital models and drawings, supporting project coordination, and assisting in the delivery of accurate technical information throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

• Producing and developing 2D/3D drawings and REVIT models for live projects
• Converting client/architect information into coordinated technical drawings
• Working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and consultants
• Managing drawing updates, revisions and project folders
• Supporting site surveys and preparing as-built documentation
• Ensuring designs meet Building Regulations and relevant technical standards
• Creating detailed construction information to support off-site manufacturing
• Assisting the sales team with early-stage layouts and design assessments

The Person

• Qualification in architectural technology, engineering or similar
• 3+ years’ experience in a technical design/CAD/BIM role
• Strong REVIT skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering/architectural drawings
• Confidently interpret detailed engineering and architectural plans
• Familiarity with Irish Building Regulations
• Organised, detail-driven and comfortable handling multiple tasks
• Good communication skills and proficiency with MS Office
