Senior Accountant – Oranmore, Co. Galway

We are currently supporting a well-established and forward-thinking Irish accountancy practice in Oranmore, Co. Galway with the appointment of a Senior Accountant.

This is a full-time, permanent position within a technically strong, systems-driven practice that supports a diverse portfolio of Irish businesses and places real emphasis on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The role

As Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of client deliverables while working closely with the Partner and senior team to maintain high technical standards across the practice. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to ongoing systems and process enhancements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of statutory accounts and management accounts
• Oversight of VAT, payroll, and related compliance work
• Providing clear, technically sound advice to clients
• Supporting improvements in systems, workflows, and automation
• Supervising and developing junior team members

Candidate requirements

• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified
• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience within an Irish accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting standards and compliance
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
