Leeside Talent Solutions are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team of a growing industrial business. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for financial reporting, management accounts, controls and analysis, while providing commercial support to help drive business performance.
The Role
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Assist with year-end accounts and statutory reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital processes.
- Assist with tax, audit and statutory compliance requirements.
- Work closely with operational teams to improve profitability, cost control and performance.
- Provide financial analysis, KPIs and insight to management.
- Support and mentor junior members of the finance team.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance systems, processes and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA), or actively working towards qualification.
- Relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial or process-based environments is desirable.
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience.
- Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider business.
