Now Recruiting: Trainee Service Engineers – Lely Center Kilkenny

Are you passionate about agriculture and interested in building a career in farm automation and robotics?

Join our Lely Service Academy and gain hands-on training in robotic milking, feeding, and cleaning systems — the future of dairy farming.

With our rapidly expanding business, we’re looking for Trainee Service Engineers to join our teams in Mullingar and Kilkenny. You’ll play a key role in supporting Ireland’s most progressive dairy farmers and making a real impact on farm performance and sustainability.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Level 6 or 7 qualification in Agricultural Engineering, or a related field
• Apprenticeship in Farm Machinery or Mechanics (desirable)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems an advantage
• Good IT and diagnostic skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and flexibility to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  
  

Essential Duties

• Assist in installation, service, and maintenance of robotic milking, feeding, and cleaning systems
• Support senior service engineers on diagnostics, repairs, and system upgrades
• Complete job-related administration and service reports accurately
• Maintain a tidy and organised workstation and service vehicle
• Undertake ongoing product and technical training through the Lely Academy
