Job Description
Posted on: July 29, 2025
AdministratorPart-time or Full-time | Flexible hours | Hybrid (Dublin based preferred)
Join us at Lios – creators of a breakthrough material transforming noise reduction. We’re building a quieter, greener future by rethinking how sound is managed across industries. Backed by over a decade of acoustic research, our team is scaling a sustainable material with real world impact — from aerospace to home appliances. We’re expanding our team as we go to market. If you’re curious, driven, and excited by science with purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support our growing team at Lios. This is a key role at the heart of day to day operations — helping us stay on top of logistics, scheduling, and internal coordination as we go to market.
If you thrive on keeping things running smoothly, enjoy being the calm in the chaos, and want a flexible role with purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate team calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements
- Maintain internal filing systems and documentation
- Support scheduling and logistics for marketing, testing, and commercial activities
- Help track and manage internal workflows across departments
- Provide admin support for HR tasks (onboarding, leave tracking, staff records)
- Assist with light bookkeeping, invoicing, or grant claim documentation (training provided)
- Keep the office well stocked, organised, and running smoothly (if working on-site)
- Liaise with external suppliers, contractors, or service providers as needed
What you bring
We’re open to a range of backgrounds for this role — here’s what we value most:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear, professional communication — written and verbal
- Experience in a similar admin, PA, office coordinator, or operations role
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Comfort using tools like Google Workspace, Excel, Slack, or similar
- Trustworthy and discreet — you’ll be handling sensitive information
- A can do attitude and willingness to learn new systems or processes
- Bonus: experience in a startup, tech, or science led environment
Flexibility
We understand that great people come with different schedules and responsibilities. This role can be part-time (3–4 days/week or equivalent hours) or full-time, with flexible working hours and hybrid options. We're happy to work with the right candidate to create a schedule that works for everyone.
At Lios, we believe people do their best work when they feel supported, trusted, and inspired. Here’s what you can expect when you join us:
- Flexible hours and hybrid working — remote work supported outside of lab-based roles
- 25 days annual leave (pro-rata) + public holidays
- Competitive salary, with equity options for key hires
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave benefit
- Enhanced leave and support for parents
- Comfortable, relaxed office in the heart of Dublin city centre
- Bike to Work Scheme and Travel Saver programme
- Opportunities to shape how we grow — we’re a small team where every voice counts
