Our client is a rapidly growing multinational with its EU HQ based in Dublin. They are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to establish and lead the FP&A function for its European operations. Based in Dublin, this role will have a broad regional remit, partnering with senior leadership to drive financial insight, performance management, and strategic decision-making across multiple markets.

This is a high-impact position suited to a hands-on leader who has experience building FP&A capabilities from the ground up within a multinational environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop a best-in-class FP&A function to support the European business
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the region
  • Deliver high-quality financial analysis, insights, and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Partner with commercial and operational leaders to drive performance and support strategic initiatives
  • Develop and implement financial models to support scenario planning and business decisions
  • Create standardised reporting frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards across multiple markets
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and data quality
  • Provide clear commentary on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Support investment decisions, business cases, and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team over time

Requirements

  • Significant experience in FP&A within a multinational organisation
  • Proven track record of building or transforming an FP&A function
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with a willingness to operate both strategically and tactically
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, scaling, or evolving business environment is advantageous
