Bioprocess Associate (11-Month Fixed Term Contract)Location: Swords, Dublin

Sector: Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing (Large-Scale Drug Substance)

Duration: 11-Month Contract (Full-Time)

The Opportunity

Are you ready to bring your energy and technical expertise to a state-of-the-art manufacturing suite in North Dublin? We are seeking a high-caliber Bioprocess Associate to join our operations team in Swords for a critical 11-month project-driven contract.

In this role, you won't just follow a process; you will be a key player in the manufacture of commercial large-scale drug substances. You will support the full lifecycle of production—from equipment validation and room programming to high-stakes commercial execution—all within a rigorous cGMP environment.

Your Impact

As a Bioprocess Associate, you will work at the intersection of science and engineering to:

  • Drive Production: Execute commercial manufacturing processes following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Electronic Batch Records (EBR).
  • Support Validation: Collaborate with Project Design, CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation), and Automation/CSV reps to facilitate facility development.
  • Operational Excellence: Participate in Equipment Design/HAZOP and Room Programming reviews to ensure "Right First Time" delivery.
  • Technical Ownership: Perform in-process testing, basic equipment maintenance, and cleaning/validation protocols.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure the manufacturing plan is executed seamlessly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor KPIs and escalate process issues to the Process Lead to ensure consistent yield and quality.

What You Need to Succeed

To excel in this fast-paced, highly regulated environment, you will more than likely have:

  • Education: Minimum of a Level 7 qualification in a Science or Engineering discipline.
  • Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of Drug Substance Manufacturing Operations and GMP requirements.
  • Mindset: A "Right First Time" approach with a sharp eye for detail and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Agility: The ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic production schedule in a busy Dublin-based facility.
