Our client is a leading financial services firm with headquarters based in Dublin City Centre. They are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is well suited to a recently qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA) with 3+ years’ experience in commercial finance role or a related financial discipline, who is eager to develop their career in a dynamic and commercially focused environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce monthly management reports covering the full P&L, delivering meaningful financial analysis and commentary
  • Monitor operating costs, investigating and explaining variances against budget and forecast
  • Act as a finance business partner to department heads, providing insights on actual spend, outlook, and financial performance
  • Work closely with the accounting team throughout month-end to ensure an accurate and timely close
  • Assist in generating forward-looking analysis as part of the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
  • Coordinate the budgeting process in collaboration with departmental stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, and standardise finance processes
  • Develop automated financial models and reporting solutions using Power BI and other tools
  • Support additional ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant +3 years commercial finance experience
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL or data visualisation tools
  • Experience within the financial services sector an advantage
  • Passion and knowledge for driving process improvements, automation, and standardisation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to financial and non-financial stakeholders
