An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, suitably experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy team at Raigmore Hospital. The post will involve providing a high quality Occupational Therapy service across the acute orthopaedic wards within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The post holder will provide comprehensive OT assessments and interventions to help maximise individual’s function and independence. In the acute setting, there is a focus on working towards safe and timely discharges through the use of Occupational Therapy skills and interventions. Close work with community services is required to work towards a home first approach to patient care. You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills in this post. There will be a requirement to work as part of a seven day rota in this post. The post holder will provide clinical supervision for junior and support staff and take an active role in Practice Placement Education. Regular clinical supervision is provided and opportunities for ongoing professional development are encouraged. A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is required as is current HCPC registration. A full current driving licence is required for this role. • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
