Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join its electrical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment.
- Carry out electrical installations in line with project drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant electrical regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Complete electrical testing, inspections, and certification as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, test results, and materials used.
- Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to ensure timely project delivery.
- Adhere strictly to company health & safety policies and safe systems of work.
- Use tools, equipment, and PPE correctly and report any defects or hazards.
Qualifications & ExperienceEssential
- Qualified Electrician with a recognised trade qualification (e.g. QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Electrical or equivalent).
- Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical installations.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and testing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Experience with three-phase systems, distribution boards, and control panels.
- Knowledge of inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience working on construction or fit-out projects.
- Full clean driving licence.
