Siemens Opcenter Solution Architect

Position: MES Functional Architect

Contract: 3-month initial contract, with potential for permanent hire

Location: Cork, Ireland or Grosswallstadt, Germany (hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement MES solutions to support manufacturing operations and digital transformation.
• Conduct fit-gap analyses and create functional specifications, workflows, and data models.
• Lead MES deployment projects including configuration, testing, validation, and go-live.
• Maintain a unified MES code base and ensure global consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with GxP and support documentation, audits, and validation.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and user training.
• Support MES upgrades, enhancements, and integration with enterprise systems.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience designing and implementing MES solutions (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Camstar, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and IIoT technologies.
• Familiarity with GxP, ITIL, and tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and data integration.
• Experience working in complex, global organizations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
