Finance SQL Expert

Clients engage RGP for expertise in delivering large and complex projects to strengthen their business. As Finance SQL Expert, you will work on a diverse range of projects. Through relevant experience, you will have been exposed to multiple and ideally complex (global) projects and businesses and be able to adapt these to our clients' unique environment.

KEY DELIVERABLES

• Lead enterprise-wide reconciliations, including Other Bets and smaller business units; investigate and resolve discrepancies across multiple stakeholders.
• Partner cross-functionally, clearly communicating accounting impacts and timelines to non-finance teams.
• Drive process improvements and automation to reduce manual work and enhance analytical focus.
• Support external audits, including AR analysis, variance explanations, and reporting documentation.
• Execute month-end close activities, including AR flux analysis, leadership reporting, semi-automated reconciliations, and manual AR clearing.
• Support quarter-end soft close and forecasting activities.
• Provide year-end audit support, including detailed account analysis and variance explanations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Qualified Accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong SQL proficiency, including modifying scripts, joining multiple tables, and analyzing complex datasets
• Experience in external auditing or leading and managing external audit engagements
• Hands-on experience with SOX compliance
