About Your New Job
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for the accurate setting out of works on-site for a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your role will be critical in ensuring that all works are executed according to design specifications and industry standards. This is a great opportunity to be part of a leading contractor and work on major developments that will shape the landscape of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out of construction works in accordance with drawings and specifications for both commercial and residential projects.
- Coordinating and liaising with site teams, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring the highest standards of construction.
- Assisting with the preparation of as-built drawings and site reports.
- Using survey instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS) for precise setting out and measurements.
- Liaising with project managers to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
What Skills You Need
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a setting out role within Ireland, with experience in either commercial or residential projects.
- Proficiency in using survey equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and site operations.
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
