Civil Engineer - Water Networks

The OpportunityTHE OPPORTUNITY This is an opportunity to join Stantec’s growing water sector team in Ireland, where you will contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure that supports communities, protects the environment, and addresses the challenges of climate change. As a Civil Engineer, you will work on a diverse range of water and wastewater projects, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working alongside experts in engineering, environmental science, and planning to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions. The role offers the chance to build your technical expertise in areas such as network design, treatment processes, and asset management, while also developing your project management and client-facing skills About The Role As a Civil Engineer in Stantec’s water team, you will support the delivery of water and wastewater projects across all stages, from concept to construction. You will contribute to technical design work, including drawings, calculations, and specifications, while assisting with reports and contract documentation. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers, gaining broad project experience and exposure to clients and stakeholders. This role offers a strong platform to develop your technical skills and grow your career within Ireland’s water sector. About You You are a qualified Civil Engineer with a strong technical foundation and proven experience in water network design. You bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You Will Demonstrate

• A minimum Level 8 degree in Engineering (or a related discipline)
• Strong post-graduate experience in water network design
• Solid professional and technical knowledge, with the ability to apply engineering principles effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and clients
