Job DescriptionAbout Us Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training. Purpose of the Post Reporting to the Childrens Disability Network Manager, the Physiotherapist will, on a Permanent Wholetime contract, work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with MDT colleagues providing services to children from 0-18 years and families who are accessing the Children's Disability Network Team. Key Responsibilities The service provides assessment and implementation of physiotherapy intervention and provision of essential equipment, postural management and orthotics as part of community disability network services within a family centered model of care. Essential
- Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Physiotherapist must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapy Register maintained by the Physiotherapy Registration Board at CORU
- Relevant ICT skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Planning and organisational skills and effective time management skills
Desirable
- Experience in paediatrics in acute and or community services
- Evidence of participation in continued professional development in paediatrics
- Experience working in Disability Services
- Experience in postural management and orthotics
- Have a full clean driving license and access to a car
