Food and Beverage Assistants - Bar

We are currently seeking to recruit experienced Food & Beverage Assistants to join our Bar Team at the Tower Hotel Waterford. This role will involve bar lunch and dinner service, functions and events, and requires flexibility to work midweek and weekends, including late finishes. The Role: As a Food & Beverage Assistant - Bar, you will:

• Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests in the bar and event spaces.
• Deliver professional bar lunch and dinner service to 4* standards.
• Support and service weddings, private functions, corporate events and viewing appointments.
• Ensure all bar areas are immaculate before, during and after service.
• Have strong product knowledge of menus, cocktails, beverages, wines and pricing.
• Take orders promptly and accurately, ensuring full awareness of allergens and dietary requirements.
• Recommend and upsell food and beverages to enhance the guest experience and promote sales.
• Ensure all glassware and tableware is polished and presentation-ready.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety at all times.
• Work as part of the bar team and wider hotel team.
• Ensure adequate stock and mise en place is prepared and left for the next shift.
• Address guest queries and complaints professionally, escalating when required.

This role requires flexibility and the ability to work late finishes, particularly during busy service periods and events. Requirements:

• Must be available to work midweek and weekends, including late shifts.
• Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar bar or food & beverage role is desirable.
• Experience in high-volume bar service and functions/events is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness.
