Financial Controller – Manufacturing – Dublin City CentreThe Company

Our client is a long-established, Irish owned business in the manufacturing sector. They are in the process of restructuring their Finance Team and are seeking to appoint an ambitious Financial Controller to join the Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity offering a real potential to progress to Finance Director level in line with projected growth in the business.

The Position:

This role will be varied and is a mix of commercial and operational duties. The role will report to senior stakeholders in the business and work with the operations team on costing. Some of the duties will include:

• Lead and develop finance team
• Deliver financial reporting to Board as required
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
• Oversight of all costing activity
• Reviewing costs against budget
• Statutory filings
• Manage Year End process and liaise with Group Auditors
• Oversight of IT function
• Preparation and evaluation of proposals to develop the business

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in the Property Sector and will gain a unique insight into the operations of a very successful Irish business.

The person:

The role is fast-paced and the successful candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge:

• Qualified accountant with experience in manufacturing an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• Good technical financial accounting skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• The ability to work within tight deadlines, pay close attention to detail and ensure quality in output.
• A well-motivated team player with a strong ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of financial systems
