Account Bank Payments Specialist

Payments specialist role within the Specialized Agency Operations Team supporting our Account Bank, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent functions. The Account Bank desk is an evolving area experiencing rising volumes and increasingly complex deal structures. Responsibilities:

• Receive and validate Customer instructions according to specific deal conditions
• Monitor system based diary and database for pre-determined Customer payments
• Perform MPP (manual payments processing) checks as appropriate
• Record and verify payment instructions for London based accounts and overseas accounts
• Process FX transactions via internal application
• Prepare non-discretionary investments/ redemptions in a range of Money Market Funds
• Complete end of day, Nostro, cash and investigations reconciliations and monitor accounts
• Assist with customer investigations

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience, preferably in payments processing
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT103 and MT202 message formatting would be an asset
• Understanding of Project Finance, Structured Finance, Escrows would be beneficial
• Effective communication skills in English
• Quick assimilation of new processes and deal structures, and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task due to a range of tight deadlines
