Civil Structural Engineer

Design Build Search is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer on behalf of our client based in Co. Waterford.

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects across Ireland, including infrastructure, residential, commercial, industrial, and sustainable developments.

This role is well suited to an ambitious engineer with proven project delivery experience who is eager to progress into more senior positions within the company, and has proven project delivery experience.

Responsibilities:

• Work within project teams to produce designs, carry out quality checks, and report progress to senior engineers or project managers.
• Deliver sustainable engineering solutions for both public and private sector clients.
• Manage several projects simultaneously from early concept through planning, design, and construction stages.
• Select and apply suitable design approaches and develop initial design concepts.
• Prepare and review design work and all associated documentation.

Requirements:

• Hold a Level 8 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Be a member of Engineers Ireland or an equivalent professional body.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ postgraduate experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Be actively working toward Chartership.
• Be comfortable participating in client meetings and delivering agreed design outputs and drawings.
• Have experience preparing planning applications.
• Demonstrate strong technical ability, communication skills, and organisational capability.
• Show commercial awareness, particularly in relation to project budgeting.
• Be able to produce clear, high-quality project reports.
