Senior Mechanical Design Engineering Supervisor – Special Purpose Machinery

We're partnered with a a leading provider of engineering and automation solutions and they're seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineering Supervisor to drive innovation and lead high-impact machine build projects - this is a permanent role working 100% onsite in Wexford, Ireland.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the mechanical design department, including R&D and innovation
• Delivering custom automation, filling, and packaging systems
• Chairing design reviews and manage SCRUM teams and workflows
• Ensuring quality, safety, CE compliance, and robust documentation
• Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders

Your Experience:

• 8+ years of mechanical design experience in automation or special purpose machinery
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• Mechanical system sizing and motion control fundamentals
• Knowledge of CE marking, GMP standards, and mechanical safety integration
• Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems
• Excellent communication, planning, and risk management skills
