Fund Controller | Investment Manager

A very large investment management firm, building a global finance function in Dublin – is hiring for a newly created, high-impact role within the team.

This is an opportunity for a driven, experienced accountant to join in a leadership position, build and shape a new team and play a key role in strategic global finance initiatives.

The Role

• Build, lead and mentor a team of analysts while working closely with the Fund Accounting team in New York
• Oversee month end closing processes, financial statements, journal entries and reconciliations across multiple legal entities
• Focus on accounting for entities and trading subsidiaries across a variety of products (Equities, Fixed Income, PE / RE strategies, Commodities etc.)
• Partner with auditors to coordinate timely and accurate financial and investor reporting
• Drive best practices in process, technology and reporting in a fast paced, evolving environment

The Requirements

• Proven experience working directly on funds – Fund Controller, Financial Controller or
• Director in a Big 4 Audit firm or
• Fund Accounting Manager in an Admin
• Understanding of financial reporting in a fund and / or fund accounting
• Strong leadership / leadership potential with the ability to build and develop a team
• Exceptional communicator and collaborator with a hands on, solution oriented approach
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline driven environment with exposure to senior stakeholders
