The Role:

The Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring that technical solutions are effectively developed, implemented and aligned with the overall business strategy. They will utilise their expertise to support the estimation team by quality controlling all technical submittals to ensure correct product selection that meets our customers’ needs. The Technical Manager will view all systems through the lens of compliance and efficiency, based on the Irish markets needs and expectations. The Technical Manager will support the Product Managers, Engineers and External Sales team.

The Person:

The Technical Manager will be a solutions-driven team player. They will have technical expertise of all HVAC products, with an in-depth knowledge of large commercial Chillers and Heat pumps. They will also have excellent comprehension of system design and deliver confidence to all teams across Hevac Group, ensuring best-in-class design and compliance support for our customers, including Consultant Engineers. The Technical Manager will support the business in value engineering systems for our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Uphold the company values at all times.

·        Influence company-wide technical standards

·        Oversight of system design.

·        Develop and maintain technical library for Hevac’s suite of products and system solutions

·        Quality-check all technical designs and product selection in advance of submission to customers.

·        Package plant room design and coordination to final sign-off.

·        Issuing of technical submittals.

·        Provide support to the internal and external sales, specifications and service teams.

·        Support product development managers across the business.

·        Responsible for oversight of technical designs and schematics.

·        Technical lead and “go to” for Engineers.

·        KPI Reporting

·        Understanding and responsibility for Tripple E register and DEAP Software processes

·        Any other duties as reasonably requested by management

Desired Skills and Experience:

·        A level 8 degree in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

·        Refrigeration engineering qualification an advantage

·        Strong technical background in the HVAC industry.

·        Proven leadership in technical or quality roles.

·        Commercially aware and quality-driven, always seeking improvement and innovation.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·        Computer literate and competent in various Microsoft office suites.
