Full Time Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Full-Time Accountant to join our busy and expanding aggregates business based in East Cork Area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to become part of a growing Irish business within the construction and quarrying industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day accounts functions
• Processing supplier invoices and customer accounts
• Bank reconciliations and cashflow management
• VAT returns and Revenue compliance
• Payroll processing
• Credit control and debtor management
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Assisting with budgeting and financial reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Liaising with management, suppliers, and customers professionally

Requirements

• Previous accounting experience essential
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 is required
• Experience in payroll and VAT returns advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and administrative abilities
• Experience within construction, aggregates, quarrying, or a similar industry would be an advantage
