Finance Business Partner - Retail

Robert Walters are partnering with a well known retailer who have several physical stores in Ireland with a large ecommerce presence also. Due to continued growth they have a newly created Finance Business Partner role and looking for someone with commercial acumen who can make this role their own.

Role is based near Liffey Valley and it is four days in the office so please note location to make sure it will be a sustainable commute.

In this role you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations for the Company's e-Commerce business stream. The role will involve working across multiple online sales platforms, managing transaction flows and supporting the business with accurate and timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

• Perform month end close activities such as bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journal entries and deliver monthly accounts for eCommerce.

• Reconcile high volume online sales transactions across several platforms.

• Produce regular sales, margin and performance analysis to support management with decision making.

• Monitor, track and reconcile outbound logistics, return logistics and customs tariffs.

• Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve analysis outliers.

• Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance reporting.

• Develop and maintain financial controls and processes with new business projects.

Key requirements of the Finance Business Partner

• Accountant with a recognised accounting body with proven industry experience.

• Previous experience with e-Commerce/retail preferred.

• Familiarity with online sales platforms such as Shopify and Amazon.

• Previous experience with multi jurisdiction VAT.

• Ability to reconcile high volumes of transactional data.

• Excellent organisation, communication and team working skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive mindset and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.
