Youll Support People In Areas Such As

  • Daily life skills, personal care, and wellbeing
  • Education, employment, and volunteering
  • Community engagement and social participation
  • Developing autonomy, confidence, and self-advocacy

Support is delivered in line withNew Directions and WALKs person-centred values. This is aflexible role that allows you to gain experience across multiple day service locations in South and North Dublin. We are specifically seeking individuals who are available to workMonday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Relief Shifts May Include

  • Full-day shifts (9am5pm)
  • Shorter shifts (e.g. mornings or afternoons)

Short notice cover for planned or emergency absences

  • Occasional out-of-hours support (e.g. Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons as required)

While the core service operates Monday to Friday, 9:00am5:00pm, some supports take place in the evenings and weekends, and we are seeking relief staff who can be available to meet these needs when they arise. This position suits those looking forflexible hours,hands-on social care experience, or to re-enter the workforce in a meaningful way. Key Responsibilities Of The JobSupport & Person-Centred Planning

  • Build supportive and respectful relationships with service users
  • Help individuals identify their personal goals and take steps toward achieving them
  • Assist with planning and delivering activities, skills-building, and community participation
  • Act as a keyworker if required and contribute to goal setting and programme development

Health, Wellbeing & Personal Care

  • Assist with personal care needs, respecting each persons dignity and privacy
  • Monitor health and medication routines as directed
  • Support healthy routines, meals, hygiene, and emotional wellbeing

Communication & Documentation

  • Keep accurate daily records and incident reports
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues, families, and other professionals
  • Follow protocols around safeguarding, incidents, and documentation

Teamwork & Development

  • Work collaboratively with Day Services and other departments (Supported Living, Clinical, Practice Development)
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality and promote a culture of respect and inclusion
  • Specific Requirement for Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential
  • Good English - written and verbal Availability to work Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, with occasional evenings or weekends Flexibility to work both full and part-day shifts as needed Recognised professional qualification in Health and Social Care, Community Development, Outreach, Youth Work or educated to degree level
  • Desirable
  • Full, clean driving license Previous experience in disability or autism support (voluntary or paid)

Previous experience establishing networks and creating connections CORU Registration
